UPMC Shadyside, an NCI-designated cancer center, is looking for a full-time Clinical Pharmacist to join their inpatient Oncology team. This position will be scheduled to work shifts from Monday to Friday, with satellite coverage after 5pm and a rotating remote weekend schedule. Along with a flexible schedule, there are no research, teaching, or staffing requirements involved with this role. We are looking for a clinical pharmacist with extensive clinical experience within oncology as well as a working knowledge of aspects of evidence-based medicine, pathway/guideline development, oncology policy development, oncology reimbursement and coverage, clinical research, and drug development. The dispensing of medications is not within the scope of this position. The goal is to provide optimal pharmaceutical care by acting as a consultant to both the inpatient healthcare team and the patient/caregiver. The position is a rotating role with both oncology and malignant hematology inpatient services. UPMC Shadyside is the primary site for inpatient hematology/oncology care including stem cell transplant, CART therapy, and various clinical trials for patients being treated at UPMC Hillman Cancer Centers, an NCI-designated cancer center.
