The Inpatient Pharmacy at Main Campus supports 60 Nursing Units, 80 Operating Rooms, 4 PACUs and 10 Cath Labs. As a Clinical Pharmacist in these areas, you will ensure patients receive their prescriptions accurately, timely and respectfully. You will appropriately select, dose, administer and dispense medications as indicated, helping provide the treatments they need to improve their health and well-being. This role offers you a unique opportunity to build your pharmaceutical skills, explore provided educational/professional development initiatives and make a difference in the lives of patients every day. This is a part-time role. A caregiver in this position will work variable hours between 7:00am and 3:30pm.

Requirements

  • PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy
  • Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire

  • Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience preferred for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a Specialized Pharmacy practice area

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
  • Verify medication orders and/or dispenses medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
  • Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
  • Directs staff appropriately to provide safe and efficient care and maintain professional working relationships with all caregivers.
  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients.
