About The Position

As a temporary, non-benefitted Pharmacist at Roswell Park, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive safe, effective, and personalized medication therapy. This position is an opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with meaningful patient interaction, helping individuals navigate complex treatments—often at some of the most important moments in their lives. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to deliver high-quality care, while also contributing to a supportive and patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or
  • Master’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.
  • Incumbents must be credentialed as a member of the organization Medical Staff (Allied Health Professional) within four months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
  • Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Responsibilities

  • Review, evaluate, and safely dispense medications, including: Unit dose medications IV preparations and additives Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) Chemotherapy and investigational therapies
  • Partner with physicians and nurses to guide medication selection and optimize treatment plans
  • Monitor patient medication therapy and recommend safe, cost-effective alternatives when appropriate
  • Educate and counsel patients on how to use their medications with confidence and clarity
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient operations
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous improvement

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $134,208 – $162,796
  • Additional $6,007 annual geographic differential
