About The Position

This role involves providing clinical pharmacy services for safe and efficient patient care. The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for medication order verification, overseeing pharmacy technician responsibilities, and ensuring the accuracy of their work. They will also support the department's quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, engage in ongoing professional development, and contribute to minimizing pharmaceutical costs and discovering process efficiencies. The position also requires responding to medical emergencies as needed and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required
Other Pharm D. Required
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

PGY1 or 3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.
Pharmacotherapy residency

Responsibilities

Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation.
Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
Ongoing professional development and growth.
Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
Other duties as assigned.
