About The Position
This is a full-time Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Residency program located in Tulsa, OK. The program is offered by Hillcrest Medical Center, a 656-bed hospital that includes specialized centers like The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute, along with advanced technology for cancer treatment. Residents will provide pastoral/spiritual care to patients, families, and staff at Hillcrest Medical Center, using these encounters as a basis for their learning. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Faith Group Affiliation
- Less than 1 year experience
Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral/spiritual care to Hillcrest Medical Center (HMC)’s patients, families, and staff
- Reflect on pastoral encounters as a basis for their learning
- Assess and identify patient and family needs
- Provide coverage for crisis intervention
- Maintain a working relationship between pastoral care department, medical staff and other departments
- Provide pastoral services in such a way as to accomplish the institutional as well as the departmental objectives
- Participate in on-call rotation on weekdays and Sundays
- Accept and fulfill other departmental responsibilities as assigned
