About The Position

Texas A&M University-Victoria College of Education and Health Professions is seeking a qualified clinical or tenure-track professor to teach graduate special education Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) classes. A&M–Victoria is a Hispanic-serving institution, located in the Coastal Bend region of southeast Texas. The campus is in Victoria, TX, approximately 2 hours from Houston, Austin, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio. A&M–Victoria enrolls approximately 3,300 students. This position is based in Victoria, TX. The successful applicant is expected to play a role in supporting graduate teaching, thus contributing to campus and student life in Victoria. Our Special Education department offers an M.Ed in Special Education Applied Behavior Analysis to prepare students to become credentialed behavior analysts. The position requires the Clinical Professor to teach courses each fall and spring semester, advise students and oversee the program including taking steps toward accreditation. Position summary: The position is based in Victoria, Texas. It is a nine-month clinical track position. The sum of responsibilities include teaching graduate classes; overseeing the SPED ABA program including program and curriculum development toward accreditation; collecting data for program review and advising students. Candidates are expected to maintain excellence in teaching; participate in course and program development; perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of the College of Education and Health Professions and the Chair of the Department of Educational Leadership, Postsecondary Education, and Special Education, and perform all other related activities as required. This position will start in Fall 2026 and is renewable on an annual basis. Opportunities for summer teaching might be available based on demand and departmental need.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education or Educational Psychology
  • Experience in special education in K-12 public schools working with students with disabilities
  • Experience teaching online
  • BCBA-D credential
  • Ability to guide students in experimental research for capstone projects
