About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join our Resource Center leadership team in the role of Clinical Operations Manager. The clinical manager of operations combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. This role is accountable for translating and achieving strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. The incumbent will provide strategic vision and operational planning for the assigned unit, leading an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is also accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards. The position provides oversight of a unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, including weekends and holidays. This is a fully onsite role at Methodist Medical Towers, Monday-Friday day shift, with availability to round to evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN). If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience as a people leader.
  • Experience supporting international nurse recruitment and workforce integration within an acute care hospital or health system, including onboarding, nurse residency, and float pool models.
  • Demonstrated commitment to nurse engagement, professional culture, and retention, with hands‑on experience fostering inclusive, supportive practice environments that promote belonging, team cohesion, and workforce stability.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in complex, matrixed environments, collaborating across nursing, HR, legal, finance, and operations to support program implementation and issue resolution.
  • Working knowledge of Joint Commission standards and ANA professional practice expectations, with experience supporting compliance and survey readiness.
  • Operational and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting inputs, staffing and scheduling processes, and productivity monitoring.
