Clinical Operations Director
About The Position
Alliance Cancer Specialists is seeking a Clinical Operations Director to oversee and elevate the performance of our oncology practices across the Philadelphia Area. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep clinical expertise and a strong background in healthcare management. The Clinical Operations Director will lead clinical operations across assigned disciplines, set annual performance goals, and oversee performance evaluations and development plans for clinical staff. This position also drives staff retention and development initiatives, hires and trains clinical personnel, and develops and implements orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education programs. Additionally, the role involves developing annual operating goals and budgets, monitoring and controlling departmental costs, supporting new clinical service line development and reimbursement compliance, and educating staff on documentation standards and charge code usage. The Director will collaborate with practice management on quality initiatives and regulatory compliance, lead the implementation of care delivery best practices, and evaluate and optimize patient care standards with attention to cost, safety, and diversity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related clinical field is required.
- Current state clinical licensure and CPR certification required.
- 7–10 years of direct clinical experience in oncology.
- 5–7 years of progressive management experience in a clinical setting.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree (MSN, MBA, MHA) strongly preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.
- Healthcare Quality Improvement certification (e.g., CPHQ, Six Sigma) a plus.
