As a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor, you'll work directly with nursing students, helping them build the confidence, clinical judgment, and skills they need to become compassionate, capable nurses. Requirements
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Oregon
- Master's degree in Nursing
- 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience

- Previous teaching, precepting, mentoring, or clinical education experience
- Nurses who know their practice, care about developing others, and can create a positive learning experience for students
- Nurses who have served as preceptors, mentors, charge nurses, clinical leaders, or the person others naturally turn to when they need guidance
Responsibilities
- Guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences in local healthcare settings
- Connect real-world nursing practice to what students are learning in their courses
- Coach and mentor students as they develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence
- Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation
- Recognize opportunities for additional support and help students develop through coaching and remediation
- Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to support a consistent, student-centered learning experience
- Stay current in your nursing practice and bring current clinical knowledge into your teaching
- Participate in select university activities such as faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation
