About The Position

As a Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor, you will guide students through hands-on clinical experiences, connect real-world practice to their coursework, and coach them in developing essential skills, judgment, communication, and confidence. Requirements

Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Oregon
Master's degree in Nursing
2–3 years of clinical nursing experience

Nice To Haves

Previous teaching, precepting, mentoring, or clinical education experience
Experience as a preceptor, mentor, charge nurse, clinical leader, or informal guide

Responsibilities

Guide nursing students through hands-on clinical experiences in local healthcare settings.
Connect real-world nursing practice to what students are learning in their courses.
Coach and mentor students as they develop clinical skills, judgment, communication, and confidence.
Observe student performance and provide meaningful feedback and evaluation.
Recognize opportunities for additional support and help students develop through coaching and remediation.
Collaborate with Joyce faculty and staff to support a consistent, student-centered learning experience.
Stay current in your nursing practice and bring current clinical knowledge into your teaching.
Participate in select university activities such as faculty meetings, pinning ceremonies, and graduation.
