About The Position

The Clinical Nurse provides direct patient care and supports the clinical team by collecting vital patient data through triage, phone encounters, and record reviews. They prioritize assignments, assist with medication prior authorizations, and deliver care according to established plans and office policies. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments, adaptability in unpredictable situations, and proficiency in electronic medical record systems. The Clinical Nurse is expected to complete assignments independently and in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Holds/maintains a current MA/LPN license/certification
  • Maintains a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care to patients and accepts delegation from assigned supervisor and/or provider to meet the needs of the patient/family
  • Collects data and information to assist the clinical team and/or the provider in patient assessment and care planning which includes but is not limited to: Triaging patients, Communicating through telephone encounters, Reviewing past documents, Reviewing hospital/clinical records, Prioritizing patient assignments, Completing patient assistance and prior authorizations for medications, Completing medication refill requests
  • Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, as well as in accordance with policies and procedures of the office
  • Possesses excellent communication skills and participates in teamwork
  • Effectively and respectfully communicates with other departments of the office
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as computer/electronic medical record systems skills
  • Exhibit an ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting
  • Independently completes assignments in a timely manner
