About The Position

This role is for a Clinical Nurse in the Pre-op/Post-op department of an Outpatient Surgery Center. The new surgery center will open on 10/9/2026, with staff training beginning 6-8 weeks prior. The clinic hours are 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 4/10 hour shift schedule Monday-Friday. The start time is typically 6:30 AM-7:00 AM, with one late shift per week to finish out the day. The center has 5 ORs and 4 GI procedure rooms, and the nurse will work in both OR and GI procedures. OR experience is preferred. There is no on-call, holiday, or weekend work required. This position is bonus eligible and offers comprehensive benefits. Requirements

• RN License
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree in Nursing
• No Experience required

Nice To Haves

• OR experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• <2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
