The University of Rochester is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Ambulatory Orthopaedic Surgery Center (AOC) in the Pre-op/Post-op unit. This is a part-time position with scheduled weekly hours of 24. The role involves providing competent direct patient care based on established standards, contributing to unit activities, and supporting the enhancement of the care delivery system. The nurse will also support peers and may assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member. The position is in an exciting and fast-paced perianesthesia environment where qualified candidates will be responsible for meeting individual patient needs from pre-op to recovery by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team is essential to care for patients across the lifespan. The pre/post-op nurse plays an integral role in delivering high-quality, safe, compassionate care. Strong assessment, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are required.
