The Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Cardiology provides support in the delivery of quality clinical care. This role works closely with the healthcare team and physician to ensure triage, telephone assessments, home therapies, and patient visits are consistent with established guidelines. The supervisor takes a lead role in assisting the clinical team to meet/exceed CI goals and assists physicians and associates in managing patient registries. They ensure staff adherence to timely and accurate documentation, support a safe environment for patients and associates, and act as a role model for the Culture of Safety. This position involves leading site clinical integration activities, demonstrating independent problem-solving, and ensuring the timely management of EMR tasks and patient follow-up. The supervisor also collaborates with leadership to maintain a patient-centered environment, evaluates service levels, monitors data for improvement, and fosters a pleasant and professional atmosphere. They are responsible for ensuring adequate clinical staffing, coordinating managed care issues, and actively participating in team huddles. Additionally, the role collaborates with the practice manager on Human Resource functions, conducts staff meetings and performance reviews, provides ongoing feedback, and orients/trains new associates. The supervisor supports practice growth initiatives, maintains inventory control, manages staff schedules to minimize overtime, and works towards achieving revenue and cost targets. They also assist in creating and maintaining an operationally efficient and provider-friendly work environment, support new physician onboarding, and engage providers in improving processes and addressing concerns. Finally, the supervisor fulfills additional job-related duties as directed, stays current with clinical standards, and performs clinical duties as needed.
