About The Position

At Sutter Health’s Memorial Medical Center, the Clinical Nurse Resident performs routine assignments and develops competence through structured work assignments. The role is accountable for assessing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. The nurse provides holistic, individualized care and develops, implements, manages, and coordinates interdisciplinary plans of care that consider psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. The role fosters collaborative relationships among patients, families or support groups, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely, effective communication. It follows hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, applicable laws and regulations, and codes to support a quality, reliable patient experience, while engaging in ongoing professional growth and development. This is a regular, non-exempt, full-time position with 12-hour night shifts, variable days, and rotating weekend requirements. The position is at Memorial Medical Center. The posted pay range is $0.00 to $0.00 per hour; actual starting pay may depend on factors including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing before the start date.
Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state where care is provided before the start date.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
General knowledge and competence in nursing theories, concepts, and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, patient-care safety precautions and best practices, privacy policies, and changes in local, state, and federal regulations.
Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook); Electronic Health Record (EPIC preferred).
Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including handling multiple tasks and interruptions.
Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options.
Ability to protect each patient’s protected health information.

Nice To Haves

Electronic Health Record (EPIC) experience or knowledge is preferred.
