About The Position

The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Practitioner is to provide oversight for infusions being administered in our ambulatory infusion centers. Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Saturdays as needed. Service Areas: Hickory, NC and may float to other clinics as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program
• Active Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the state(s) of practice.
• Experience in family physician setting; possesses strong knowledge of chronic disease states as well as current and emerging therapies.
• BLS or obtain upon hire.
• Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
• Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
• Assist with policy, procedure, and protocol development as needed.
• Able to work as a team member with all members of PIS.
• Working along side with nurses and other NPs/MDs.
• Able to perform nursing functions as needed.
• Oversee the infusions being administered in the AIC.
• Travel to other AICs when needed for staffing coverage.
• Maintains strong knowledge of all existing and developing infusion therapies.
