This leadership role provides the opportunity to influence day-to-day operations while shaping long-term culture, quality outcomes, and staff development. The Clinical Nurse Manager is an experienced leader responsible for the overall management of assigned units and services. This role provides leadership and oversight of patient care staff to support a culture of excellence in clinical practice, staff engagement, recruitment and retention, and strong clinical and operational outcomes. The Nurse Manager ensures the safe and effective delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, administrative, and clinical standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures. Serving as a key advocate for safety and retention, the Nurse Manager leverages data, technology, and evidence-based practices to drive decision-making and proactively mitigate risk. This role fosters a desirable and supportive work environment that enables staff and the organization to meet or exceed strategic goals. The Nurse Manager models effective communication and collaboration with physicians, staff, patients, and interdisciplinary partners. Role-specific responsibilities and competencies align with the organization’s Professional Practice Model. The position reports to the Director of Nursing or above. Under general direction, the Clinical Nurse Manager maintains 24-hour accountability for leadership and management of a designated patient care unit. Responsibilities include promoting high-quality nursing care, cost-effective resource utilization, staff professional development, and a Patient- and Family-Centered Care culture.
