About The Position

At NorthBay Health, as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to our patients following Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients assigned to your care. You will also use a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient and their family, along with your interdisciplinary team, to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for the patient.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
  • Nursing degree of BSN level or higher is required.
  • Valid, current and unencumbered RN license by the State of California.
  • Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS required.
  • A minimum of six months acute care RN experience required.
  • Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the True North values.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of Emergency care experience preferred.
  • One-year RN experience as an emergency transport nurse is equivalent to six months of acute care experience.
  • Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment.
  • PALS or ENPC within six months of employment.
  • TNCC or ATCN certification within one year of employment.
  • CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred.
