We are seeking a CLINICAL NURSE II at Duke Endoscopy of Raleigh, located in Raleigh, NC to serve as a triage nurse and as an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

Requirements

  • Work requires graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required.
  • BLS required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push/pull 250 lbs.
  • Must be able to carry 25 lbs.
  • Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.

Nice To Haves

  • All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the BSN program within seven years of their start date.
  • Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the program within seven years of their start date.
  • Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job classification.

Responsibilities

  • Complete nursing assessment, education and triage on endoscopy patients during admission, intra procedure and post procedure
  • Documentation through Electronic Medical Record.
  • IV management to include placement, assessment and removal.
  • Moderate Sedation administration and patient assessment.
  • Delegation of patient activities to unlicensed personnel.
  • Pushing and pulling of patient stretchers.
  • Maintain and stock patient supplies in patient bays.
  • Participates in performance improvement projects and/or acts as a liaison in various Clinic related projects.
