About The Position

At NorthBay Health, a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to our patients following Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and the NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients assigned to their care. They will also use a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient and their family, along with their interdisciplinary team, to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for the patient. The NorthBay Way principles consisting of Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence are values exhibited daily.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing
  • Nursing degree of BSN level or higher is required. (excludes grandfathered employees)
  • Valid, current and unencunmbered RN license by the State of California
  • Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS required
  • A minimum of six months acute care RN experience required
  • One-year RN experience as an emergency transport nurse is equivalent to six months of acute care experience.
  • Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to emergent and trauma patients
  • Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • One year of ED RN experience preferred.
  • Must have Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment
  • PALS or ENPC within six months of employment
  • TNCC or ATCN certification within one year of employment
  • CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred

Responsibilities
