About The Position

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Northbay Health, you will provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to patients, adhering to Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all assigned patients. Utilizing a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient, their family, and your interdisciplinary team, you will facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of patient health.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing
• Nursing degree of BSN level or higher is required. (excludes grandfathered employees)
• Valid, current and unencumbered RN license by the State of California
• Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS required
• PALS or ENPC within six months of employment
• A minimum of six months acute care RN experience required
• One year of RN experience as an emergency transport nurse is equivalent to six months of acute care experience.
• Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to emergent and trauma patients
• Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills

Nice To Haves

• TNCC or ATCN certification preferred
• CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred
• One year of ED RN experience preferred

Responsibilities
