Clinical Nurse I - Medical-Surgical ICU - Full-Time - Nights
About The Position
New York-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse I for its Medical-Surgical ICU. This role is part of a unit delivering excellence in critical care, merging world-class care with compassion. The hospital aims to address a shortfall in care in northern Manhattan, the Bronx, Westchester, and northern New Jersey, offering community-focused medicine supported by two major academic medical centers. The Medical-Surgical ICU is a 12-bed unit where nurses gain exposure to a wide range of physiologic diseases and provide specialized care, including continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), therapeutic hypothermia, and prone therapy. This is a full-time, 12-hour position with flexible night scheduling. Nurses are encouraged to practice evidence-based nursing and lead improvements in the patient care experience. The role involves working alongside Columbia doctors as an integral partner in team-based care for critically-ill patients.
Requirements
- 1 year minimum of Adult ICU experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain)
- BCLS certification
Nice To Haves
- CCRN (Adult) certification
- ACLS Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care in a 12-bed Medical-Surgical ICU.
