About The Position

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) supports staff in the South-West 6 Integrated Rural Health Network by delivering education to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and efficient system flow. Working under the Acute Care Program Manager and collaborating with leaders, the CNE assesses learning needs, plans and evaluates educational programs, and applies adult learning principles. The role provides leadership, real-time clinical support, and expert guidance to nursing staff, promotes evidence-based practice, and fosters continuous professional development and a supportive learning environment across all shifts.

Requirements

  • Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment.
  • Three years' experience related to the clinical area within the past five years.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
  • Demonstrates ability to show initiative and self-direction.
  • Clinical data analysis skills.
  • Written Communication Skills.
  • Advanced - Clinical skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills.
  • Basic - Computer skills.

  • Ability to apply research to clinical practice.
  • Demonstrates ability in teaching, facilitation and group activities.
  • Knowledge in principles of adult education.
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
