About The Position

Provides leadership for clinical education, orientation, competency validation, evidence-based practice, regulatory readiness, and professional development programs that promote safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

BSN required
Current Idaho RN license.
Minimum 8 years’ acute and emergency care experience required.
Must have provided direct patient care in a clinical setting within the past 3 years

Nice To Haves

MSN preferred
Familiarity with additional clinical areas, including Radiology, Laboratory, Infusion, Family Medicine, and Surgical Services, is preferred but not required.
Clinical educator experience preferred.
Instructor certifications are preferred or obtained within one year.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement an annual clinical education plan aligned with organizational goals.
Coordinate new employee orientation and department-specific onboarding alongside human resources as needed.
Develop, maintain, and validate annual competencies.
Coordinate Clinical Skills Days.
Coordinate monthly simulation activities with skills competencies included.
Administer learning assignments, monitor completion, and maintain compliance tracking through the organization’s educational platform.
Maintain education records for CMS, DNV, OSHA, and state requirements.
Lead evidence-based practice initiatives and policy education.
Develop and support preceptors, charge nurses, and emerging leaders.
Collaborate with Quality, Infection Prevention, and Clinical Managers to address educational needs.
Evaluate education outcomes using quality metrics and staff feedback.
Maintain instructor certifications and provide BLS/ACLS/PALS education as appropriate.
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor across departments.
