About The Position
As a Clinical Nurse in Dialysis, you are responsible for planning, directing and evaluating treatments with a patient and safety centered focus.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure as an RN in New York State.
- BLS required for all new candidates prior to hire.
- BLS required for all internal team members by 12/31/2014.
Nice To Haves
- For per diem or part-time positions within dialysis, 1 year prior experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete initial and ongoing assessments; Communicates assessment data and patient needs to other healthcare providers, monitors patient response to dialysis, prepares care plans, education and treatment interventions as well as document outcomes of care
- Demonstrate an ability to provide care in a professional manner by establishing and maintaining nurse-patient relationships; evaluate and revise plan of care based on current assessment data
- Assume responsibility and accountability for leadership role on the unit care team; initiate and document education plan for the patient/family based on identified learning needs
