About The Position

This program rotates through adult Critical Care Units and includes the AACN’s Essentials of Critical Care Orientation. Participants are required to sign a two-year commitment. Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, delivers nursing care to patients. Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments; identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention; formulates and communicates goal-directed plan of care; assures patient rights. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Credentials for Graduate Nurse (GN) status from the Florida Board of Nursing
  • GN status will expire on the date issued by the Florida Board of Nursing or upon receipt of notice of failing the NCLEX exam
  • Must sign a two-year commitment
