About The Position

As a Clinical Nurse - Accident & Emergency, you will deliver proficient, person-centred care within a fast-paced clinical environment, supporting patients through assessment, intervention and ongoing care. Drawing on your experience, you will monitor care plans, coordinate services and oversee care delivery within the team to ensure positive outcomes. In this role, you will support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager across clinical, education and service delivery activities, while contributing to service coordination and resolving care-related issues. You will also play a key role in teaching and supporting staff and students, participate in research and quality improvement activities, and provide shift-by-shift leadership. Portfolio responsibilities will be aligned to your professional development, allowing you to further build your expertise while maintaining a strong clinical focus.

Requirements

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances).
