Clinical Monitor
About The Position
Equip for Equality, a disability rights organization headquartered in Chicago and providing advocacy and legal services throughout Illinois, is seeking an experienced clinical professional to support efforts to ensure safety and quality of care for people with disabilities in Illinois. The position involves working collaboratively with a team of monitors and includes on-site monitoring in facilities and community programs to help ensure that individuals with disabilities have successful community transitions and receive appropriate services in a safe environment. The position further involves analysis and report writing to develop recommendations for systemic change and improvements, focusing on individuals with developmental / intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's in a social service field, LSW/LCSW, LCPC, QIDP, or a valid RN license
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with people with developmental / intellectual disabilities
- Strong commitment to civil rights of individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Local and overnight travel
- Valid driver's license
