As a Clinical Medical Assistant in our Mesa, AZ clinic, you will support providers and patients by delivering safe, efficient clinical care and excellent customer service. This role is ideal for a new graduate or an experienced MA (0–5 years) who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient setting and enjoys working as part of a collaborative care team.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant training completion (certificate/diploma) or equivalent clinical experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
- Comfortable using an EHR and basic computer applications
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- 0–5 years of experience in an outpatient/ambulatory clinical setting
- National MA certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent)
- Experience in family medicine, primary care, pediatrics, or community health
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) or experience working with diverse patient populations
- Experience with immunization schedules, preventive care workflows, and point-of-care testing
Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, chief complaint, and relevant history
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures as needed
- Perform clinical tasks within scope and training (e.g., injections/immunizations, EKGs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, point-of-care testing)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Support medication workflows, including medication reconciliation and refill requests per protocol
- Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions, including follow-up care and preventive health guidance
- Coordinate with front office, nursing, and provider teams to ensure smooth patient flow
- Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms; maintain supplies and equipment
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and privacy standards (HIPAA) at all times
- Support quality initiatives, care gaps closure, and population health activities as assigned
