About The Position
CALRegional is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for medical professionals looking to supplement their income and make an impact by training aspiring healthcare professionals. The programs run for 8-10 weeks, with specific availability required on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 am to 2 pm. No prior teaching experience is necessary.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required.
- Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
- Front office experience.
- Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
- Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
- Comfortable with computers and technology.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities
- Aid student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
- Aid in student learning outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
- Aid all required skill labs with the Lead instructor.
