About The Position

We are seeking employees who are passionate about serving and making a difference in the lives of others. This role involves instructing on the Clinical Medical Assistant curriculum in accordance with Job Corps requirements, counseling and motivating students, and developing supplemental lessons. The ideal candidate will create a positive and motivating classroom atmosphere to maximize student engagement and maintain a conducive learning environment.

Requirements

• Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization in Medical Assisting
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record preferred
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification

Responsibilities

• Create a positive and motivating classroom atmosphere to maximize student engagement
• Instruct on the Clinical Medical Assistant curriculum in accordance with Job Corps requirements
• Counsel and motivate students regarding behavior, training, and personal development
• Develop supplemental lessons and recommend curricula changes to enhance learning outcomes
• Individualize the curriculum to fit students' vocational choices and maintain contact with counselors and instructors
• Prepare reports such as student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations
• Maintain a conducive classroom environment for learning
• Attend required staff training sessions and adhere to safety practices
