About The Position

Outpatient Diagnostic Center of Alabama is an independent imaging organization with four outpatient imaging centers, seeking an experienced Clinical Imaging Manager to lead their MRI, CT, and X-Ray departments. This full-time leadership role oversees daily operations across multiple locations and plays a key role in maintaining exceptional patient care, staff performance, and regulatory compliance. The schedule is Monday-Friday with flexibility to provide leadership support as needed, as imaging services operate 7 days a week. The manager will provide leadership and operational oversight for MRI, CT, and X-Ray services across four outpatient centers (Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Decatur). Responsibilities include maintaining departmental credentials, certifications, and accreditation requirements, supervising imaging staff (scheduling, training, evaluations, performance management), ensuring appropriate staffing coverage, supporting hiring and onboarding, promoting quality assurance, patient safety, and consistent imaging standards, and collaborating with radiologists and administrative leadership to optimize workflow and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Current Registered ARRT Technologist - MR and/or CT (both preferred)
  • Previous Imaging leadership or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of MRSO requirements and credentialing/accreditation compliance
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multi-site operations and competing priorities
  • Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to support staff across MRI, CT, and X-Ray services
  • 3-5 years relevant experience with at least two years of supervisory experience in related field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Knowledge of modern business and supervisory techniques
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine technology, or equivalent education background
  • Current MRI and/or CT registry required (ARRT, MR, CT)

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for MRI, CT, and X-Ray services across four outpatient centers (Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Decatur)
  • Maintain departmental credentials, certifications, and accreditation requirements
  • Supervise imaging staff, including scheduling, training, employee evaluations, and performance management
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage to support extended service hours
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and competency assessments for imaging personnel

  • Collaborate with radiologists and administrative leadership to optimize workflow and patient experience
