About The Position

The Clinical Manager is a Registered Nurse who has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the clinical and operational management of Hospital throughput Wound Care Services, including Administrative Coordinators, Discharge Lounge, Transfer Center, Staffing Office and the Center for Wound Care. The Clinical Manager will serve as a member of the Hospital Throughput and Clinical Support Service Directors management team. The role promotes the provision of effective, high quality patient care through oversight of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, management of human, fiscal and other resources, development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, and fostering of interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships across assigned units, departments and affiliated clinical sites. The Clinical Manager seeks and provides educational programs relevant to patient populations served, including medication safety initiatives, pain management strategies, advanced care planning and specialty certifications. The Clinical Manager works collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Organizational Development, Department Director, related Clinical Managers and Providers to develop and validate the clinical competency of staff, in order to establish a collegial and interdisciplinary patient care environment. The Clinical Manager will be responsible for facilitating and managing patient care services division special projects as assigned.
