About The Position

Supports the department leadership in the oversight of clinical and administrative operations in alignment with professional, departmental, network, regulatory, governmental, and third-party standards.

Requirements

  • Three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting required
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field required
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of PA upon hire
  • Ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change within a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to take initiative and function independently, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent computer skills including electronic medical record (EMR), word processing (Microsoft Word), PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of best clinical practices.
  • Mature emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care, as required, in a variety of clinical modalities in compliance with professional, departmental, network, regulatory, and third party standards.
  • Supervises and supports clinical staff in patient care operations including initial assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, coordination of care, and discharge planning.
  • Supports program development, access enhancement, performance Improvement, utilization review, service recovery, and safety activities.
  • Supports effective revenue cycle activities and, as necessary, clerical operations in the program.
  • Supports the development and management of effective recruitment, orientation, education, competency, performance evaluation, and staff satisfaction of clinical personnel.
  • Supports accurate, timely, and appropriate documentation in clinical activities with patients.
  • Supports linkages with other departmental programs, network departments, and community programs; engages in program promotion both internally and in the community at large.
  • Manages behavioral health team members (Licensed OP Mental Health Professional & Psychiatric Case Worker) directly or indirectly.
  • Steps into daily staffing role, as needed.
  • Formulates recommendations for continuous improvement, taking into account market demands, regulatory standards, patient safety, and changes in clinical practice.
  • Takes responsibility for providing a positive learning environment for staff, students, interns, and residents collaborating with academic programs, while ensuring patient safety.
  • Provides on call coverage, as required by the program.
  • Takes on other duties as assigned.
