About The Position

The Clinical Manager for Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) is like that of a Clinical Manager role in the Behavioral Health department and reports directly to the Senior Director of Behavioral Health. The primary responsibility of the Clinical Manager is to oversee the treatment of patients with emotional, mental and psychological disorders in the “mild-moderate” system of care, through the clinical and logistic direction of behavioral health services offered in the community health centers. The Clinical Manager relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, as well as to consult and triage with the Licensed CHC Therapists, psychiatry providers, and primary care providers for optimal patient care. The Clinical Manager leads and directs the work of others and performs a wide variety of tasks in which a wide degree of latitude and creativity is expected.

Requirements

  • Requires a master's degree and at least 2 years post-licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or licensed clinical psychologist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheet, database, word processing, and other computer software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing and managing patient flow in integrated "mild-moderate" level of care settings, ensuring the efficient delivery of behavioral health services across CHCs.
  • Under the guidance of the Director of Behavioral Health, provide senior-level clinical supervision of licensed Behavioral Health Providers (BHPs) to maintain compliance with county, state, contract, The Joint Commission, and Clinica Sierra Vista standards.
  • Maintain 1-2 clinic days to provide direct client care as needed for peer review, during staff shortages, or as directed by the Director of Behavioral Health Integration.
  • Advocate for the vision and mission of Clinica Sierra Vista's Behavioral Health department both internally and externally.
  • Ensure the veracity and excellence of clinical work performed by staff, including the timely documentation of services.
  • Oversee integrated reports for behavioral health outcome measures to track and improve patient care.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, informative, and welcoming environment for clients receiving behavioral health services in integrated settings.
  • Report any operational or clinical issues related to integration efforts to the Director of Operations – BH Integration.
  • Work closely with other department directors to sustain, promote, and expand programs and services.
  • Participate in strategic planning and facilitate departmental meetings as needed.
  • Organize and present trainings on behavioral health services and processes to staff and community health center partners.
  • Adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista and Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
  • Always maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Assist with oversight and support of both Kern and Fresno integrated teams.
  • Conduct introductory and annual employee reviews, complete competency assessments, and provide constructive feedback to support professional development and organizational goals.
