About The Position

The Clinical Manager is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care through the continuum of emergency services. The Clinical Manager functions as a resource person for staff members and provides necessary education, training, competency validation, and performance reviews of individual members of the nursing staff. Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provded by specified units. Makes decisions regarding patient care activities in area of responsibility. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the oversight of the departmental budget and managerment of staff. The Emergency Care Center Clinical Manager is responsible for the oversight of the department and management of staff including hiring, training and job accountability. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. BSN preferred.
  • Two years clinical experience in an ECC setting with management responsibilites.
  • Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
  • American Heart Association BLS required.
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support, PALS or ENPC within 6 months of employment.
  • TNCC within 18 months of hire and must remain current in these certifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer skills.

  • BSN preferred.
