About The Position

This high-impact role combines clinical expertise with relationship building and business development skills to evaluate patients, determine admission criteria, support referral-to-admission growth, and clearly communicate the value of inpatient rehabilitation to referral partners. This position will serve Lexington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital and Midlands Regional Rehabilitation Hospital.

Requirements

• Current, valid, and active RN, PT, OT, or RT license.
• Experience working in the medical environment promoting programs and services.
• Ability to build strong relationships in an assigned territory utilizing clinical and selling skills.
• Passionate patient advocate assisting in the referral to admission process.
• Strong clinical skill set with a mindset for business development
• Acute Clinical Expertise
• Skilled in IRF Criteria & Medical Necessity Knowledge
• Relationship Builder with clear, confident communication
• Proficient in Technology and Documentation
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and clean driving record required
• Ability to travel in regional area on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Demonstrates an understanding of patient mix, regulatory requirements, reimbursements, etc., that impact overall hospital operations.
• Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years healthcare experience preferred (healthcare sales experienced preferred).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for evaluating patients and determining if s/he meets admissions criteria.
• Prepares development plans, conducts calls, and presents to potential referral sources.
• Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
