Clinical Liaison (CL) PRN
About The Position
The Clinical Liaison (CL) is responsible for building and maintaining referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital. This role involves assisting and coordinating the intake and pre-admission screening process, performing on-site clinical judgment to determine patient appropriateness for admission, and communicating rehabilitation and facility options to patients and their families. The Clinical Liaison will also secure information regarding patients' resources and benefits and serve as the initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities. This position will primarily cover the East Side of Cleveland and may pick up hours for the University Hospital Avon Rehabilitation Hospital on the West Side.
Requirements
- Clinical Licensure as an RN, PT, OT, SLP, RRT
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
- Previous clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
- Formal Sales Training preferred
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital

- Communicates to patients and family's rehabilitation and facility options.
- Communicates to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient's expectations and requirements for participation
- Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
- Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities
- Will cover the East Side of Cleveland. May pick up hours for University Hospital Avon Rehabilitation Hospital for the West Side.
