About The Position

Penn State Schuylkill is seeking a full-time Clinical Lecturer for the Radiological Sciences Program. The successful candidate will be joining a program that maintains strong clinical partnerships and student relationships and facilitates high levels of student success; the 5-year average ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) exam pass rate is 97% on first attempt and the 5-year average job placement rate is 100%. This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding. Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher plus 3 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
ARRT certification
Current registration in Radiography
Valid driver's license
Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
PA State Police Criminal Background Check
PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

Nice To Haves

Experience in evaluation of students
Familiarity with the JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) Standards

Responsibilities

Supervising students daily during their clinical experience while at the Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center
Performing competencies, labs, and activities with students
Evaluating students
Providing guidance
Implementing best practices for students in successfully completing their semester clinical objectives
Participating in program assessment
Communicating and collaborating with all stakeholders
Participation in program meetings and collaboration with faculty performing labs during the first six weeks of the Fall semester (requires travel to the Schuylkill campus)
