About The Position

Penn State Schuylkill is seeking a full-time Clinical Lecturer for the Radiological Sciences Program. The successful candidate will be joining a program that maintains strong clinical partnerships and student relationships and facilitates high levels of student success; the 5-year average ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) exam pass rate is 97% on first attempt and the 5-year average job placement rate is 100%. This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding. Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher plus 3 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ARRT certification
  • Current registration in Radiography
  • Valid driver's license
  • Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in evaluation of students
  • Familiarity with the JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) Standards

Responsibilities

  • Supervising students daily during their clinical experience while at the Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center
  • Performing competencies, labs, and activities with students
  • Evaluating students
  • Providing guidance
  • Implementing best practices for students in successfully completing their semester clinical objectives
  • Participating in program assessment
  • Communicating and collaborating with all stakeholders
  • Participation in program meetings and collaboration with faculty performing labs during the first six weeks of the Fall semester (requires travel to the Schuylkill campus)
