About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the success of the onboarding experience and continuous learning through managing and facilitating National New Employee Orientation. The specialist will also provide strategic direction for vendors and venues for training activities and learning events, and serve as the lead planner for national learning event logistics. This includes sourcing hotels and venues, managing meetings, handling vendor relations, and planning services for specific events like INSPIRE, Top Docs, and CE Learning Events. The role involves overseeing both live and virtual experiences, managing facilities and equipment, and negotiating contracts within budget limits. Additionally, the specialist will manage budget allocations, ensure ADG compliance, establish workflows for ongoing support of regional learning events, conduct event reviews, and develop action plans. The position also requires active participation in the Learning & Development team, supporting field leaders with learning needs, and facilitating learning materials as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience with mentoring and training
  • Minimum 3 years of work-related experience in a clinical dental setting
  • Proficiency with computers and projectors
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have the ability to communicate well orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate National New Employee Orientation to ensure a successful onboarding experience and continuous learning.
  • Equip facilitators and partner with HR Business Partners, Regional Event Planners, and Operational Leaders on course timing.
  • Provide strategic direction when working with vendors and venues for on and off-site training activities and learning events.
  • Serve as the lead planner for national learning event logistics, including hotel/venue sourcing, meeting management, vendor relations, and planning services for INSPIRE, Top Docs, and CE Learning Events.
  • Oversee planning, logistics, and setup for live & virtual experiences.
  • Manage facilities and equipment for learning events.
  • Negotiate contracts for learning events up to company-approved budget limits.
  • Manage budget allocations for all learning events and activities.
  • Ensure ADG compliance according to established MDP procedure.
  • Establish work flows, practices, and standards to ensure ongoing support for regional learning events.
  • Conduct Event Reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure action plans are developed and implemented.
  • Be an active member of the Learning & Development team, visiting practices and supporting field leaders with learning needs.
  • Facilitate learning materials as determined by the Director of Learning & Development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
