About The Position

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Clinical Lead Brief Services will provide culturally, timely and effective mental health intervention. With the support of this worker, there should be a reduction for the need for more intensive interventions, improve functioning, enhance awareness and understanding of the presenting problem and help develop coping skills for the children and youth. This position is responsible to ensure program delivery is consistent with the philosophy, approach, goals and learning environment established by Dilico Anishinabek Family Care, which will ensure the cultural, social, emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing of children/youth and their families.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree of Indigenous Learning, Social Work, or Psychology is required.
  • Three years related experience working with Anishinabek children/youth/families.
  • Three years' experience developing treatment goals with clinical milestones and measurable and objective outcomes for children and youth.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning and delivering multi-faceted culturally informed interventions to address cross-cultural, social, emotional and/or trauma related needs.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Search.
  • A valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate, is recommended.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle.
  • Must complete and qualify for certification of program related clinical assessment tools.
