About The Position

The Clinical Lead responsibilities include triage patients prior to seeing the physician, obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, EKG, immunizations/injections, assisting physicians with procedures, assisting patients with care, accurate documentation in electronic health records, calling in refills and communicating with patients and outside entities. Administrative duties include but are not limited to patient check-in/check-out, collecting monies, preparing next day charts and answering phones. Lead the clinical team.

Requirements

  • Medical Assisting Diploma.
  • Current CPR or BLS certificate.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of current Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access. Office 2007 or newer required.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform routine tests with attention to proper procedure, precision and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of appropriate medical terminology.
  • Skill in specimen collection.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours as defined in the job offer.
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions and follow written protocols.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients during point of care.
  • Perform phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens for the purpose of testing.
  • Prepare accurate reports concerning the results of laboratory tests and quality control.
  • Process patient specimens appropriately to ensure accurate results.
  • Take vital signs, EKG and perform injections.
  • Lead the clinical team.
  • Fully document patient information into NextGen.
  • Assist physicians with procedures.
  • Assist patients with care.
  • Call in refills.
  • Communicate with patients and outside entities.
  • Patient check-in/check-out.
