Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
BLS/CPR Certification required
Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Active certification and/or license preferred: CMA, LPN, RN, RT(R), Athletic Trainer Certified, Kinesiology Certified
1–4 years of experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred
Orthopaedic experience preferred

Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain medical history and chief complaints
Assist physicians during patient visits and procedures
Prepare and maintain patient charts and documentation in EMR
Coordinate clinic workflow and monitor patient flow for efficiency
Provide patient education regarding procedures, post-op care, and treatment plans
Assist with casting, splints, DME, and other clinical support duties
Perform x-rays based on physician protocols (if applicable)
Complete documentation for referrals, procedures, prescriptions, and testing
Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and equipment
Support prior authorizations and patient forms including FMLA and disability paperwork
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient safety standards
