About The Position

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, the Clinical Supervisor will be a dynamic leader who excels in engaging people, promoting quality and building successful teams. This leader will oversee teams providing outpatient mental health services including mood and anxiety programming, urgent care psychiatry clinic and centralized intake and triage. This encompasses delivery of group and individual psychotherapy to patient with moderate to severe mental illness.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a related health field required (e.g. social work, nursing, occupational therapy, counselling/psychology) with a combination of relevant experience within the last five years in mental health and addictions (Bachelor’s Degree with commensurate experience will be considered)
  • Current registration with relevant regulatory body and membership in good standing is required
  • Minimum three to five years of recent experience with the last eight years of working in an acute mental health and addictions program, including delivery of group and individual psychotherapy, is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with, and advocate for, individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principals of quality improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of best practice guidelines and quality standards in mental health and concurrent disorders
  • Sound analytical skills including: conceptualizing, developing and executing a wide variety of projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary teams (this role includes ensuring adequate staffing levels and general clinical supervision of staff)
  • Superior interpersonal and leadership skills including critical thinking, communication, responsiveness, conflict resolution, change management, visionary thinking, organizational skills, decision making and problem solving

  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Will be required to travel and/or work between Osler sites
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with interdisciplinary staff, internally and externally, to ensure that patient needs are met
  • Participating within an interdisciplinary team in program planning, development and implementation
  • Overseeing day to day operations, patient flow, staff supervision and use of evidence based practice
  • Ensuring excellence in patient experience
  • Other duties as assigned
