About The Position

This position analyzes laboratory samples. Duties include maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instruments and performing laboratory tests in one or more of the following laboratory areas: chemistry, hematology, histology, serology, coagulation, bacteriology and urinalysis.

Requirements

• Meets requirements to be licensed as a Medical Technician (NAC 652.440) or Specialty Technician (NAC 652.485) in the State of Nevada.
• A valid State of Nevada license as a Medical Technician or Specialty Technician is required or temporary employment for a period NOT exceeding six (6) months may be granted with documentation that the application for license process has been initiated.
• One year recent documented experience in an acute care setting.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes laboratory samples.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory instruments.
• Performs laboratory tests in one or more of the following laboratory areas: chemistry, hematology, histology, serology, coagulation, bacteriology and urinalysis.
