About The Position

The Part Time Therapist is responsible to provide an array of social services to program participants within the Residential Program and Rights of Passage Apartment Living (ROPAL) and Community Service Center Programs as assigned. This position supports staff in the assessment and development of individual case plans, determining the appropriate supportive and referral services, and providing quality assurance in progressing toward the achievement of treatment plan objectives. This position works closely with all program and supervisory staff, advocating and emphasizing a focus on meeting the needs of the individual youth.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a clinical discipline required, licensed or license eligible preferred (Registered Intern in Florida)
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in a residential setting
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of and sensitivity to culturally diverse populations
  • Knowledge of local resources/services available to the homeless and youth populations
  • Current Florida driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate targeted conversations surrounding quality of life surveys if youth are present in the building. These conversations must be rendered to youth and families in a culturally competent manner according to CHF Mission, Principles, and Core Values.
  • Provide individual and group therapeutic services for residents.
  • Facilitate the completion of psychosocial assessments to youth after intake to assist with providing an appropriate treatment recommendation.
  • Provide support service to program activities, such as special group sessions, wellness activities and/or assistance in identifying appropriate client resources and making referrals.
  • Provide staff coverage and support within the Clinical Services department and elsewhere, when indicated by supervisor.
  • Assist in the completion of the Assessment Phase by conducting psychosocial assessments of the program participants as assigned.
  • Provide oversight of the Plan Development process for high risk youth and ensure that case plan objectives are appropriate for the youth.
  • Work collaboratively with team staff and supervisors to conduct Case Reviews and ensure that these meetings are effective in evaluating youth’s progress toward attaining the goals of the case plan.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization to youth as needed.
  • Assist youth in navigation of and access to wellness resources by identifying and providing referrals to appropriate intervention and recovery services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and high quality client records.
  • Drive company vehicles to escort youth to and from activities, hospital visits, school, and various other appointments, etc.
