About The Position

UW Medicine Primary Care at Northgate has an outstanding opportunity for a Clinical Laboratory Technician - Phlebotomist. This is a full-time position, 100% FTE (40 hours per week), working the Day Shift. The clinic is conveniently located along I-5 near the Northgate Transit Center and offers primary care appointments six days a week, including evenings and same-day appointments. Requirements

Able to be certified as a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist with the Washington State Department of Health within 90 days of hire.
High School / GED
Minimum one-year relevant experience or training in a clinical laboratory or medical setting (for CLT2)

Responsibilities

Performs routine and stat laboratory tests utilizing automated or semi-automated equipment, kit assays, and microscopic evaluations.
Understands, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots applicable equipment and testing methods.
Performs work accurately and precisely, organizing workload to meet service demands calmly, efficiently, and without direct supervision.
Performs quality control analyses on all tests assigned and determines whether all parameters are within established ranges.
Participates in training and demonstrating routine laboratory techniques to new employees in coordination with the CLT Lead.
May send out letters to patients, as delegated by clinic leadership, with lab results or overdue reminder letters for appointments.
