Perform moderate- to high-complexity laboratory testing on blood, urine, stool, and other body fluids using established procedures. Operate automated and manual testing systems for hematology, urinalysis, microscopy, infectious disease screening, pregnancy testing, and point-of-care glucose testing. Receive and identify patients, verify test orders, perform phlebotomy, and follow universal precautions and specimen-collection standards. Process, store, and prepare specimens for in-house testing or shipment to reference laboratories, applying proper acceptance and rejection criteria. Enter, review, approve, and report test results in the laboratory information system while maintaining accurate records and performing quality control. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and established procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory; prepare reagents and media and replenish supplies as needed.
