About The Position

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist to contribute to high-quality patient care in a clinical laboratory setting. The role works the evening shift, starting at 1 PM and potentially extending until 10 PM if necessary. The position involves conducting clinical laboratory tests and analyses, managing patient data, supporting colleagues, and maintaining quality, safety, and confidentiality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, demonstrating proficiency in laboratory techniques.
• Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the State of California.
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with EPIC and WellSky systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various laboratory tests and analyses in all aspects of the clinical laboratory.
• Use EPIC and WellSky systems for patient data management.
• Handle incoming phone calls professionally and assist co-workers as needed.
• Manage stressful work situations efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Organize and follow up on laboratory tasks and responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively and diplomatically with patients and staff.
• Take on new responsibilities as requested and adapt to changing laboratory needs.
• Follow safety and confidentiality protocols, including HIPAA requirements.
