About The Position

Pangea Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-complexity molecular diagnostics environment with a strong focus on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), assay validation, quality excellence, and scientific innovation. This is a full-time onsite role based at our Tustin, CA facility. This role offers a consistent schedule from Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM with no weekends or rotating shifts. Requirements

Current California CLS license (required)
Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, Biological Science, or related field
Minimum two years of clinical laboratory experience
Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Comfort with ambiguity and evolving processes in a growth-stage environment
Knowledge of basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with NGS platforms strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Perform, analyze, and validate high-complexity molecular diagnostic assays, including NGS-based testing.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and testing platforms.
Accurately document testing procedures, results, and observations according to established protocols.
Ensure specimen integrity, test accuracy, and adherence to laboratory quality standards.
Participate in routine laboratory operations to support efficient workflow and turnaround times.
Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and applicable regulatory standards.
Participate in proficiency testing, quality control, and corrective action processes.
Follow established SOPs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Support validation and verification studies for new and existing assays.
Assist in evaluating new technologies and workflows.
Contribute to research and development projects supporting innovative diagnostic solutions.
Work closely with laboratory leadership, scientists, and cross-functional teams.
Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
Foster a collaborative and positive team culture focused on excellence and innovation.
